Storyline:
Onward is set in a suburban fantasy world where mythical creatures like elves, trolls, and centaurs live in a modern society. The story follows two teenage elf brothers, Ian and Barley Lightfoot, who live with their mother, Laurel, after the passing of their father. On Ian's sixteenth birthday, he receives a magical gift from his father: a spell that can bring him back to life for one day.
Excited yet nervous, Ian and Barley attempt to use the spell to meet their dad. However, something goes wrong, and they only bring back the lower half of their father. Determined to complete the spell and see their dad, the brothers embark on a quest to find a rare gem that will allow them to finish the magic.
