Storyline:
Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa picks up where the first film left off. Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe, and Gloria the hippo are still in Madagascar, trying to find a way back to New York City. With the help of some penguins who have repaired an old plane, the group sets off on their journey.
However, the flight doesn’t go as planned, and they crash-land in Africa, where they discover Alex's true roots. In Africa, Alex reunites with his long-lost parents, who are part of a pride of lions. Meanwhile, Marty finds a herd of zebras that look just like him, and Melman and Gloria explore their feelings for each other.
As the characters navigate their new surroundings, they face various challenges, including a rivalry with a mean lion named Makunga. They learn about their identities and what it means to be part of a family, ultimately realizing the importance of friendship and love.
