After a major crash during a race, McQueen takes time to recover and reflect on his future.
To get back in the game, McQueen seeks the help of a new trainer, Cruz Ramirez, a young, energetic race technician who believes in modern training methods. Cruz, however, has her own dreams of becoming a racer.
